Watercolour painting class for adults & child 3.45pm – 5.15pm
All child ages welcome.

These will run each 1st Tuesday of every month.

No experience is necessary. Equipment will be provided in these sessions.

These sessions are going to be quite relaxed, this is a creative space with little rules which can inhibit the relaxed atmosphere. I very much want to include all those that thrive in this kind of space. During the session, I will do one or two short demos. These are optional and a choice for all to come and watch if they wish.

They are designed to allow freedom of choice. And we all love these three words, don’t we? So once you have learned a few techniques I want you to feel completely free in your choice of what you want to paint and I am here to give you some support and guidance to give you and your children the confidence to progress and embrace those mistakes. More importantly, these sessions are for giving you and your child a nice little friendly community of other people and children that have maybe never tried painting.

We only compete with ourselves.
It’s okay to copy others’ work but always make it clear it is a copy of someone’s work and not your own.

I encourage working from photos too. So you are all welcome to bring in mobiles to use for visual purposes. We just ask phones are not used for other purposes and please can they be put on silent. Just to try and keep these sessions as tech-free as possible 😂🫣. Although I encourage finding things to paint – for inspiration it can be great.

FAQ:
Your children will ideally be sat opposite or next to you if you would prefer, then  you both get a chance to make new friends and have some fun.

There will be some biscuits, tea and coffee with a little honesty box for anyone who needs a refreshment.

🎨 1 x travel Winsor Newton Cotman paint, pencil, putty rubber & paintbrush normally £36.
🧽 1 x eco sponge for cleaning brushes
👶 1 x muslin cloth for cleaning up brushes and mopping
2 x quality brushes
1 x washi tape

Once you have these paints they will easily last a good year. 🎨🖌️.
